The Rice & Spicy is this little restaurant that produces big bold, flavorful food is just amazing. The food is so good! And we only had two of the dishes. The Duck and basil stir fry, and the combination pad thai. I would say a hidden gem, but if you see the stream of take-out orders, you can tell I am late to the party. I honestly can not wait to go back and try something else. I am getting hungry writing this review :) The service is spectacular. I always talk about the chef. This chef was on fire, so hats off to you! The Rice & Spicy is a must add to you foodie list! I promise they are, if not in the top 10 of the best Thai restaurants in the city!

Waitresses are very attentive and kind, very nice and calm ambience in the restaurant. Smaller spot but definitely high quality food, we found it while looking for gluten free on a trip and they were knowledgeable both for myself (gluten sensitivity) and my sister (celiac disease). They even made my sister's dish without garlic because she's sensitive to that too. I got the pad woon sient with beef since it was one of my favorite Thai foods pre-diagnosis and it did not disappoint, I ate the whole thing lol Would definitely come back :)

I am glad we tried this restaurant and it is really worth it! The food was tasty, first bite is already addicting. The parking could be tricky since they have limited lot and it is shared with other shops.

Went here for lunch. The Tom Yum soup with vegetables was delicious! We also had the Basil Fried rice with shrimp, awesome flavors!

Had a great experience and the food was delicious. The pad Thai was on point. You get to select your spicy level. Their Thai chicken wings had a delicious spicy & sweet taste. Their Tom Yum was perfect. This place will definitely be a regular place for us. Service tonight was excellent but only a few customers were dining in, plenty of people stopping for pick up.

Small nook feel that's warm and inviting. Very friendly staff. And the food oh man the food. If you want some authentic thai food, not any of these americanized bs that everybody else sells; go here if you want more authenticflavor. Also if you like heat in your thai food they will put you up to the test. That said you can choose 1-5 heat. Secret option is up to 10 but you need to be eating ghost peppers on the regular to eat 10. No refunds if you order something to mighty for you to handle. so far I've had many menu options and have not been disappointed. Out of 10 the food is never lower than a 7. Most is a solid 9. No one gets a 10, lol. It's over all my favorite spot in san antonio for oriental cuisine. My opinion is this is a must try. Perhaps you'll make it a regular spot like me.

Fantabulous, Delicious, Excellent!! By far the best Thai restaurant I have visited in SA. The service was great, the restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if your looking for superb Thai cuisine.

First Time eating at this restaurant and I have to say how delicious the food was. I was mind blown on how flavorful the food was and not to mention the sushi is great! The waiter was very friendly and attentive very great service. Would definitely go again!
